Wie zijn wij? / Who are we?
Een stel van begin 50. De een werkt in de IT en de ander is o.a. kok en cateraar, geeft kookles aan volwassenen en kinderen, doet DTP werk en bouwt websites. Wij wonen ongeveer 7,5 kilometer boven Amsterdam in Zunderdorp, een schattig landelijk gelegen dorpje. Van hieruit kun je heerlijk wandelen en fietstochten maken.

A couple of early 50. One works in the IT and the other is a cook and caterer, gives cooking classes, does DTP work and builds websites. We live about 7,5 kilometers above Amsterdam centre in a lovely rural -tippical Dutch- village called Zunderdorp. From here you can enjoy hiking and cycling.

Wat bieden wij? / What do we offer?
Wij zijn lid en logeeradres voor "Vrienden op de Fiets" (www.vriendenopdefiets.nl). Als u daar ook lid van bent kunt u voor 19,- euro p.p.p.n. bij ons overnachten incl. ontbijt. Niet leden betalen 6, - euro extra p.p.p.n. Wij bieden u een 2 persoons bed van 160 x 200 aan in een knusse kleine slaapkamer bij ons thuis. U mag uiteraard gebruik maken van onze badkamer met douche en ligbad. U bent dagelijks welkom vanaf 17.00 uur tot 09.00 uur, maak wel even een afspraak want we zijn geen hotel waar iedereen zomaar kan binnenlopen. Wilt u meerdere nachten achter elkaar overnachten, dat mag na overleg, maar het is hier geen hotel, dus u wordt verzocht NIET overdag in huis te verblijven, na het ontbijt gaat u lekker fietsen, wandelen of wat dan ook en als het rotweer is naar een museum of iets dergelijks, er zijn er velen in Amsterdam.

We are a member and cheap place to stay for "Friends of the Bicycle" (www.vriendenopdefiets.nl). If you are a member or bought the booklet/map at the tourist office, you can stay with us for 19, - euro pppn including breakfast. Non members pay 6, - euro extra pppn. We offer a twin bed 160 x 200 in a cozy little bedroom at our home. You may of course use our bathroom with shower and bath. You are welcome daily from 5 pm to 9 am, and pleasmake an appointment because we are not a hotel where everyone can just walk. Would you like to stay several nights in succession, which michgt be possible after consultation, but it's not a hotel, so you are requested NOT to stay home during the day, after breakfast you enjoy biking, hiking or whatever and if it is to bad weather you could go to a museum or something like that, there are many in Amsterdam.

Maaltijden / Meals:
Overnachtingen zijn inclusief ontbijt. Een lunchpakketje maken voor onderweg kan voor 5,- euro p.p. Wilt u 's avonds bij ons eten, dat kan, voor "Vrienden op de Fiets" rekenen wij 9,- euro excl. drankjes voor een eenvoudige maaltijd, 2 gangen kost 12,50 excl. drankjes. Glas wijn 2,50; bier of fris: 1,50; koffie: 1,50 per kop of thee 2,50 per pot.

Overnight stays include breakfast. A packed lunch will cost you 5,- euro extra (please ask in advance). If you want to join us for diner, please make a reservation. The costs are: simple meal 1 course 9,- euro; 2 course simple meal 12,50 euro; 3 course simple meal 15,- euro, all including one drink, tap water free. More exclusive diners also possible. Tell us what sort of food you would like to eat. Thai, tippical Dutch, Meditaranian food ... are you vegetarian or want to eat Halal meat, it is all possible.
Extra drinks: Glass of wine 2,50-4,50; beer 1,50-3,50 or soft drink 1,50; coffee 1,50 normal cup, big one with hot milk 2,- and 2,50 for a pot of tea, with 2 cups if you want.

Locatie / Location
Ons huis bevindt zich in een rustig dorp ten noorden van Amsterdam. Met de fiets en pontje ben je in een half uur bij het Centraal Station van Amsterdam, met de auto in 15 minuten, met bus 33 en een stukje lopen in ongeveer 30/35 minuten.

Our house is situated in a quiet village north of Amsterdam. The Central Station of Amsterdam can be reached in 15 minutes by car, in 30 minutes by bicycle and ferry (free, day and night) and by bus (33 from the Central Station) and a walk in about 30/35 minutes. Drives to or from Schiphol by taxi will cost you around 60,- euro or more to the centre of Amsterdam (very expensive!!) So we advice our guests to take the train from the airport. It is quick and cheap, only one thing, be ware of pickpockets and thiefs that tell you a bird shit on your coat and when you turn around to look ... your bag is gone with the wind ....

Speciale B&B in een oldtimer Citroën HY bus / Special stay B&B in our oldtimer Citroën HY van
In het voorjaar en de zomer is het ook mogelijk om in onze oldtimer Citroën HY bus te overnachten met 2 personen, dat kost alleen wel meer dan het "Vrienden op de Fiets" tarief. Tarieven vanaf 30,- tot 40,- euro p.p.p.n. Zie de website voor meer informatie. Dan boekt u een plekje op een camping in de buurt (bijvoorbeeld bij de boer bij ons in het dorp) en wij zorgen dat de HY voor u klaar staat, dan heeft u meer vrijheid, u mag overdag in de hy verblijven of op pad gaan, net waar u zin in heeft.

In spring and summer it is also possible in to spend the night our vintage Citroën HY bus with 2 people, that will cost you more then the "Friends of the Bicycle" rate. From 30,- tot 40,- euro pppn. We book a place on a campsite nearby (eg at the farm in the village) and we ensure that the HY van will be ready for you, you will have more freedom, you can use it als during daytime. Excluding costs for campingsite.

Omgeving / Surroundings
Hier in de omgeving kun je heerlijk fietsen en wandelen, bijvoorbeeld op de dijk langs het IJsselmeer, een rondje Marken en er zijn aardige dorpjes en leuke oude steden die vaak door toeristen worden bezocht .... zoals: Broek in Waterland, Holysloot, Den Ilp, Edam, Monnickendam, etc.

Here in the environment you can enjoy cycling and walking, for example on the dike along the IJsselmeer, make a tour on Marken and there are other charming villages and quaint old towns that are often visited by tourists .... such as: Broek in Waterland, Holysloot, Den Ilp, Edam, Monnickendam. We are on the cycling route to Alkmaar!! Last year we hade visitors from Spain, England and Germany!
